Terms of service and SMS messaging agreement for MilVet Transitions.

Welcome to MilVet Transitions. By accessing our website (milvettransitions.org), participating in our veteran support programs, or opting into communications, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Age Requirement
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from MilVet Transitions, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. SMS messaging services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
2. Program & SMS Messaging Overview
MilVet Transitions operates SMS communications for Notifications, Peer Support Alerts, Event Reminders, and Occasional Information Updates for veterans, service members, military spouses, and supporters who have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications.
3. Opt-Out & Support Instructions
Canceling SMS Service: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text "STOP" to any message received. Upon sending "STOP," we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
Getting Help: If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for assistance, or reach out directly to josh@milvettransitions.org or call 254-500-2354.
4. Carrier Liability & Rates
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. As always, message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you.
Message frequency varies based on program activity and user preferences. For questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

6. Website Use & Non-Profit Service
MilVet Transitions is a 501(c)(3) eligible Texas non-profit organization dedicated to veteran suicide prevention, peer support, and family transition assistance. All content on this website is provided for informational and support purposes. While we strive for accuracy, services and resources are subject to availability and eligibility.
