ExploreLeaving the military is not a single event. It is a journey.
MilVet Transitions is a Texas nonprofit organization founded to support veterans, service members, military spouses, and their families as they navigate the challenges of military transition and civilian life. Transition affects every part of a person's life — identity, employment, education, relationships, physical and mental well-being, and community involvement.
Although numerous federal, state, and local resources exist, many veterans and military families continue to experience difficulty locating, understanding, and accessing the services available to them. At the same time, many struggle with isolation, loss of purpose, fragmented support systems, and the emotional challenges that often accompany life after military service.
MilVet Transitions was created to help bridge those gaps — connecting individuals with trusted resources while fostering meaningful relationships that strengthen resilience and encourage long-term success.
“The military's battle buddy philosophy does not end when service ends. It evolves into a lifelong commitment to supporting one another.”
4 ways we walk with veterans
and their families
Successful transition extends far beyond employment or accessing benefits. True success is the ability to build a fulfilling life — meaningful relationships, purposeful work, continued growth, and active participation in the community.
Battle buddies for life. Veteran-to-veteran and spouse-to-spouse connection that breaks isolation before it becomes a crisis.
Measured not in programs delivered, but in veterans who no longer carry it alone.

Preventing and reducing veteran suicide
We address one of the greatest contributing factors to veteran suicide — isolation. Suicide prevention begins long before someone reaches a crisis. Veterans who feel connected, valued, and engaged are more likely to seek help when needed, maintain healthy relationships, and experience a renewed sense of purpose.
So we strengthen protective factors — deliberately, and in community.
We serve veterans of all branches

Your gift connects a veteran who's carrying it alone
One-time or recurring — every gift fuels peer support, VR programs, and the everyday connections that prevent veteran suicide. There's also a special opportunity: the Millennium Protocol, a $1,200 package that gives a veteran a complete blood test, neural inflammation screening, and a doctor-built natural healing plan.
Veterans served in every corner of Texas life
Food drives, stand downs, scholarships, job seminars, city partnerships, and honor projects — this is what showing up looks like.
Whether you need help, or you want to help — start with a conversation.
Veterans, spouses, family members, volunteers, employers, and community partners are all welcome. Reach out and a fellow veteran will get back to you.
